Mummy and daughter fashion paper doll made from a cereal box! Tiny Fashionista in the making… Spring Florals!!
February is here and I can’t help but feel a little excited, as every year… February has always felt a special month to me as its the month I was born and the month of my parent’s wedding anniversary, my favourite Aunt’s birthday, Valentine’s Day month, my husband’s birthday and the month that follows a busy November, December and January every year with our 2 tiny’s b-days and Christmas.
It’s also the end of a chilly winter in the UK usually; and the very first snowdrops and blossoms begin appearing :)
This month I’m a little nervous about turning that little bit older, something I haven’t really been fazed by before. I’m loving the Spring Florals which are being showcased in Fashion Shows all over the globe, especially as only a few weeks ago my 2 girls and I spent a wet, cold weekend making paper dolls together as my mum used to do with me when I was a little girl and my eldest daughter had designed the adorable floaty dress you see above! So wonderful to share such pure, quality time together without the requirement of lavish outlays or organising… The true beauty of sharing a creation with those that you love and care about without judgement or criticism from anyone, just the fun of working together doing something you enjoy together!
I’m looking forward to meeting up with some young, chatty, females at a knitting circle get together this month and sharing my love of making something incredible from something as simple as 2 “sticks” and a “piece of string”!
